All Allerair air purifier, air cleaner, air scrubbers are equipped with separate HEPA and activated carbon filter-cartridges (exception: Allerair D refillable activated charcoal filter canister models and Allerair DX refillable activated charcoal filter canister models).  This feature has many advantages and gives you a lot of benefits over other ordinary air purifiers.

• With the Allerair air purifier, air cleaner, air scrubber you do not need separate units for different cleaning purposes.  All you need is to buy another cartridge for that specific requirement.
• You may take the HEPA cartridge out of the unit  and use only the activated carbon/zeolite filter-cartridge when cleaning the area which has odors or chemicals.  This will prevent the HEPA filter from becoming contaminated and prolongs its life.  Moreover you may use specially enhanced impregnated carbon cartridges for removing particular chemicals and odors.
• As the HEPA filter lasts longer than the activated carbon filter, it can be replaced less often.  Allerair air purifier, air cleaner, air scrubber separate cartridges are designed to help you save money by allowing you to replace only the activated carbon cartridge.
